Our History



We are  located in Logan Square area in Chicago, near the six corners of Diversey, Milwaukee and Kimball.

Dinner Entrees

Van Phat Chinese Restaurant was founded in 1988 by our father, Vann Hong. He dedicated all his life as a chef and owned a restaurant in Cambodia. In fact, he was chosen to become the Asian Olympic Chef of Cambodia in 1963.  Our family has fled to the United States and settled down in Chicago in 1981.  At first, we started the business with little money but with devotion and passion, we determine to put our heart and soul into this business.

Our main goal is to spread our specialty and to delight our customers.  We continue to follow the traditional aspect of our father cooking methodology even after he was retired and  with our customers satisfaction Van Phat still exists today. 

Van Phat brings Asian infusion to Chicago. With our unique twist of Chinese and Cambodian foods, you're sure to find a dish that you'll love. We start with on​ly the freshest ingredients to stir fry delicious melodies of tastes and colors that are sure to delight the senses.
